About the Role
Sphinx Trading PLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise, analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing accounting operations with precision and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Support audits and liaise with external auditors.
Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
About You
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance,
Minimum of 6–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a trading or commercial environment.
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian financial regulations and tax laws.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
