Job Summary:

The Investment and Business Analyst leads and conducts financial, market, technology, and engineering analyses to appraise investment and consultancy projects. The role involves developing and monitoring data quality metrics to ensure accurate business data and effective reporting. The analyst performs advanced financial and operational modeling, designs innovative funding and valuation models, and identifies transaction synergies, risks, and mitigation strategies. Additionally, the role supports consultancy services by identifying and closing advisory opportunities, preparing valuation and investment reports, advising clients on strategic investment decisions, and contributing to organizational development and business acceleration initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business.
Conduct market research, analyze and compile study reports
Acumen in identifying financial, technical, market and other risks
Conduct securities research, portfolio analysis, and market trend assessments.
Evaluate investment opportunities for institutional, corporate, and retail clients.
Prepare investment advisory reports aligned with client requirements and country’s regulations.
Assess client business models, governance structures, and operational efficiency.
Conduct financial models and financial analysis and projections.
Define business requirements, and reporting them back to stakeholders.
Recommend organizational improvements to align with capital market readiness.
Support SMEs and corporates in restructuring for investment and growth.
Present findings to management, boards, and investors in clear, actionable formats.
Provide training and capacity-building sessions on business and investment analysis and promotion.
Monitor performance against deadlines and milestones

About You
Requirement:

BA degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering, and Legal environment or related fields. Postgraduate degree (MBA, MSc in Finance/Economics) preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, or consulting.
Proven track record in consulting, business research, investment appraisal or securities advisory
Strong business analysis, investment analysis, market, technical, data analysis and other business cross-cutting issues analysis skill.
Knowledge of capital market instruments, ECMA regulations, and IFRS standards.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical judgment.
Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Professional Certifications

CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment)
CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
ACCA/CPA for accounting and financial reporting.
CBV (Chartered Business Valuator) or ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser).
IIB CBAP/BCS Diploma in Business Analysis (for business process expertise).
