Job summary
The Senior Network & Security Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and securing the company’s network and cybersecurity infrastructure across the brewery plant, head office and warehouses. The role ensures high availability of production systems, ERP connectivity, secure remote access, and protection of business critical and industrial control systems from cyber threats.
Roles and Responsibilities
Aid or advise in new project design, implementation, troubleshooting and documentation of network and security infrastructure and related systems
Assess network and security infrastructure architecture and document findings and recommendations based on industry best practices
Implement, Administer and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and email/web security systems
Develop and enforce network and information security policies
Ensure compliance with company IT security standards and audit requirements
Monitor security logs and respond to threats, attacks, or suspicious activities, Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate penetration testing.
Implement and manage:
Network segmentation (Brewery vs corporate network)
Access control policies
Secure remote access (VPN/MFA)
incident response for cybersecurity events
Work with automation engineering teams to enforce OT security best practices
Maintain strict network segregation between production and office environments
Use monitoring tools to track network health, bandwidth, and security events
Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and performance bottlenecks
Respond to security incidents, malware infections and unauthorized access, maintain incident logs,provide post-incident reports
Maintain updated network diagrams, security architecture, and configuration backups
Support internal and external IT audits
Evaluate new network and security technologies, Participate in network expansion projects for new branches or warehouses , Work with ISPs, security vendors, and system integrators,
Guide IT support staff on secure network practices
Conduct basic cybersecurity awareness training for employees
Manage, Recommend and Oversee Corporate Network and Security profile from edge to endpoints relating to different Network layers.
Perform other duties assigned to him /her by the IT Manager.
About You
Qualifications
BSC /MSC in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields
5+ years of hands-on experience in network and cybersecurity administration
Experience managing enterprise networks in in Beverage Industries is Mandatory.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of SDWAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT
Experience with enterprise switches and routers (Cisco, HP/Aruba, Fortinet, etc.)
WAN technologies and VPN configuration
Hands-on experience with Firewalls (FortiGate, Cisco, Sophos, etc.)
IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security, Email Security
Network segmentation and Zero Trust principles
Security monitoring and log analysis
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
backup connectivity and disaster recovery networking
strong knowledge of using Network monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, etc.)
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
CCNA / CCNP
Fortinet NSE / NSE4+
CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar cybersecurity certifications
Additional Competencies:
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure during outages or security incidents
Good documentation and reporting skills
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical staff
High sense of responsibility for security and uptime
